Last Week's Puzzle

The sum of three consecutive numbers is 345. Can you figure out the three numbers?

Answer:

The three numbers are 114, 115, and 116. You can solve this problem by creating an algebraic equation, where x = the first number, x + 1 = the second number, and x + 2 equals the third number.

x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 345

3x + 3 = 345

3x = 342

x = 114

x + 1 = 115

x + 2 = 116
